KLANG HERITAGE MERDEKA WALK 3.0
28/08, KLANG- Klang Heritage Merdeka Walk 3.0 Anjuran Kelab Warisan Sungai Klang kembali lagi pada tahun ini dengan bertujuan mengukuhkan perpaduan masyarakat yang terdiri dari pelbagqi bangsa dan agama.
Hadir bersama, YB Charles Santiago , YB Tony Leong Tuck Chee - 梁德志 ,YDP MPK, TPr. Hjh Noraini Roslan. Seramai hampir 2000 penyertaan bersama berjalan kaki ke 10 lokasi Royal Klang Heritage Walk yang disediakan.
Penganjur MENGUCAPKAN terima kasih kepada bantuan, tajaan dan Kerjasama yang dibetulkan oleh Majlis Perbandaran Klang , GMklang, Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre, BannerKing, HP & Co , Polis Klang Selatan dan lain lain.

The Kelab Warisan Sungai Klang (KWSK) co-hosted "Jom! Gotong-royong Sekitar Sungai Klang" with various groups and schools in the Klang Valley
The Kelab Warisan Sungai Klang (KWSK) co-hosted "Jom! Gotong-royong Sekitar Sungai Klang" with various groups and schools in the Klang Valley on January 12th 2019.
The programme 'Jom, Gotong Royong Sekitar Sungai Klang' is an activity that uses the Klang double-decker bridge as a starting point, to clean up rubbish on both sides of the river. It also aims to raise awareness of the community on environmental issues and urge the public to pay attention to environmental issues.
The groups participating in the event include Tzu Chi, Bodhi Meditation, Saibaba, JCI Kuala Lumpur Mandarin, JCI Petaling Jaya, Vanniar, Geng Menebing Klang, SSBC Klang, Rakan Bersih Kubur Selangor, Ikram, MSU, UiTM, SMK Sri Andalas, SK Taman Sri Andalas and SJK Ladang Highlands. Member of Parliament Klang YB Charles Santiago will lead the participants to this great cleanups.
Berry Ng, a member of the Klang City Council, also appealed to the public to actively participate in this activity, urging all to participate in the protection of the earth, reduce use of plastic bags, and properly manage garbage disposal. Berry Ng explained that there are also students participating in this activity. Thus, it is hoped that they can influence their families and friends to use less plastic, as it is one of the garbage that often causes water retention, which is also a hotbed for mosquito breeding and contribute to the rise of dengue disease. By having this kind of civic activities, we will be able to highlight the importance of reducing use of plastics in our daily lives and encourage recycling.
Jordan Ng, chairman of KWSK, said that various groups and schools from the upper and lower reaches of the Klang River have joined these activities to pick up garbage. They have taken a big step forward in cleaning up Klang River, which leaves members of the Organising Committee very excited.
Jordan Ng stressed that KWSK upholds four major objectives: (1) purifying the Klang River;
(2) promoting the community to join in cleaning up Klang River
(3) efforts in beautifying Kota Bridge
(4) promoting Klang River as a tourist destination by integrating Klang`s history, culture and art, at the same time encouraging the community to cooperate with the government for the development of Klang.
Chairman of the Organising Committee, William See said the participants will be divided into six groups.
Group A will clean the mural area to the Railway Bureau warehouse,
Group B will cover the other area at Pengkalan Batu, Group C will go around Pasar Jawa,
Group D will clean up Emporium Hawker Centre. Group E will go around Jinbao Park, and
Group F will work from the fire station to the back street area. It is estimated that 450 volunteers will participate in this gotong royong programme. William See added that members of the public are welcome to join this gotong royong activities on that day itself.
After the gotong royong, YB Charles Santiago will join the public to make enzyme mudballs. Later, some mudballs will be tossed into the Klang River as one of the ways to purify the water.

River of Life - Public Outreach Program (ROL-POP) Bukit Lagong, Selayang, Kuala Lumpur
Kami tidak dapat membuat siaran FB LIVE di program ini kerana tiada saluran internet di lokasi Bukit Lagong, Selayang, Selangor.
Kelab Warisan Sungai Klang dipelawa untuk mengajar orang awam cara membuat bebola enzim.
Bebola enzim kami juga digunakan untuk membersihkan kolam di Bukit Lagong.

In conjunction with the World Clean Up Day, Kelab Warisan Sungai Klang works with JCIKLM to educate Lake Edge Puchong communities in producing enzymes and mudball. We have thrown 120 pieces of mudball into the lake, hoping to clear the green fungus from the lake.

This morning a group of student 26 people with their 3 tutors came to visit Kota Bridge, to know about our Klang river, culture & history, they will come out some proposals to beautify the river bank. They will do 6 proposals presentation on coming Dec.
